What is EMDR therapy?
EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. EMDR therapy can be used to treat: PTSD, sexual and/or physical abuse trauma, personality disorders, panic attacks, complicated grief, dissociative disorders, performance anxiety, phobias, disturbing memories/nightmares, eating disorders, stress reduction, and addictions. It was developed by Francine Shapiro in the late 1980's and is a powerful psychotherapy approach that helps relieve many types of psychological distress. I am a certified EMDR therapist.
I am licensed to practice in both Oklahoma and Tennessee.
