Do you accept insurance?
Yes. I am an in-network provider for Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Healthchoice, Healthcare Highway/WebTPA, TriCare, PHCS, Magellan, United, Optum, UMR, OSMA, HPI, HealthSmart, Cigna and The Kempton Group . If you don't have one of these insurances, I accept private pay. I encourage you to reach out to your insurance provider to find out how much your co-pay is, if any, and what your deductible is prior to your appointment. I do not make phone calls to insurance companies.
What if I don't have insurance?
I gladly accept private-pay.
Will I need to fill out paperwork for my initial visit?
Yes. Please print, complete and sign the necessary forms found on the Forms page
Where are you licensed?
I am licensed to practice in both Oklahoma and Tennessee.
Do you take payment plans?
Yes! I understand that some copays are very high and I absolutely will work with you on this. I also take payment plans for private pay individuals as well. Please bring this up in discussion with me.
Are you really available 24/7?
Yes, having been doing this work for years I have learned it is very important and beneficial for all of my people to have access to me at any time. I cannot always be available when you need me, but I will get back to you as soon as I can. If we are doing telehealth or phone outside of our normal hours scheduled, and if the phone lasts more than 20 minutes I will charge for this. Please refer to my contract, and please speak to me about this in person if you need further clarification.
Do you meet me where I am at?
Yes, if you cannot get out and to my office or are somewhere else locally and having a hard time and have the inability to get to my office than I will certainly meet you wherever you are! I cannot respond to emergencies, as I will defer you to contact 911, go to your local emergency room, or contact a support person that you can rely on. However, I have different revenues in getting you help as soon as I can under the rules that it is not a true psychiatric crisis. However, if I am at work and am seeing other people I will not be able to come to you physically.
Do I really have your personal cell phone?
Yes, because it is within my own morals that I do not obtain or have two phones on me. I trust you with my cell phone number and it is important that you have this number along with my e-mail.
Do you drop insurance immediately?
No, never. I try and credential with as many insurance panels that I can, that’s including EAP (if your employer provides it). However, I cannot guarantee that I will be approved for credentialing including EAP services. If I were to decide to drop an insurance that I am credentialed with, then I would give you at least 6 months prior to opting out. However, I cannot control if insurance companies drop me immediately and without reason.
What is EMDR/IFS/parts work?
All of these I explain in detail during your appointments and I utilize all of them and often intertwined with EMDR itself. I also do EMDR intensives; meaning 2-4 hours at a time.
Again I reiterate, if you were to lose your insurance, I DO NOT just drop you as a patient. I never want you to feel you are dropped and will not do so. I am not in this for the money (not implying anyone thinks I am), but it is simply not decent nor part of my morals to not see someone just because they lost their insurance. This is my choice and nobody is a burden on me per my choice given a situation such as that.
